Real cases of digitization in Petits Cellers de l'Alt Penedès

The result of this project is the Micro and Small Cellers Digitalization Guide drawn up with the aim of advising the small wineries of Alt Penedès to advance the path of digitising data and processes that take place in the vineyard, the wineries and in communication to customers and consumers.

Digitalisation as a Community objective

Digitalisation is one of the key processes in the productive improvement of modern enterprise, regardless of size. This is a general consensus and is proof that the European Union has made this field one of the main destinations of funds enabled to improve the competitiveness of companies.
If digitisation is a clear objective in the business world for a long time, small business, and especially in our sector, has had more difficulty in enjoying its profits.

Computer democratisation

The simplification of computer applications, the great advance in Internet connectivity and the mass processing of data by means of everyday devices such as mobile phones, tablets or computers have made it possible to democratize digitization and make digitalization not only affordable for companies of a certain size, but also available to small and microcellers.

Project Learning

The learnings contained in the guide focus on the result of eight consultancies between wineries and consultants, in which they have been highlighted:

- Data management and process programs
- The sensories integrated into the control and management of vineyards and wineries
- The digitisation of communication as a fundamental tool for reaching the customer and the consumer
