Next Thursday, June 12, from 9:30 to 13:30, in the Vinseum of Vilafranca del Penedès, the 5th Symposium of Regenerative Viticulture is celebrated with the title 'Vinyes Vives: Regenerative strategies for the wine ecosystem'. The format is face -to -face and virtual through www.vvitulturagenerative.org.  The contest, organized by the Association of Regenerative Viticulture with the support of Innovi, will be presented by Eloi Montcada, the Innovi manager cluster, and will have the presence of nine experts and scholars who will explore techniques, results and opportunities that regenerative agriculture offers in the face of climate change challenges.

This new edition will analyze the impact of the abduction of carbon on the soil, the current regulations of carbon credits and the compensation systems that can be obtained if this sustainable practice is carried out. It will also be addressed how to measure the health of soils and how to improve the fertility and resilience of the vineyards. Finally, the results of two research projects that study the impact of regenerative viticulture where family Torres: Regenera.cat, who compares and evaluates conventional agriculture and regenerative agriculture under the CREAF (Center for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications), and Vitiregenere, coordinated by Innovi, which has validated, which has validated, which has validated, which has validated the agricultural internships and which has validated the agricultural health, will be exposed. The vitality of the soils, collected in a guide to good regenerative viticulture practices that will be delivered to the attendees. Mireia Torres, as a founding member of the Regenerative Viticulture Association (AVR) and President of Innovi, and Francisco Romero, mayor of the City Council of Vilafranca del Penedès, will welcome the attendees. The closing of the symposium will be given by Joan Gené, General Manager of the Incavi.
