Optimization of the use of phytosanitary products in viticulture based on vigor mapss in plant cover

Grant for the execution of innovation projects by operational groups. Sub-measure 16.2 of the 2014-2020 PNDR co-financed by FEDER.

This project aims to develop and apply an efficient, manageable and simple tool to treat fungal diseases and pests in the vineyard, which allows the vine grower to have a decision-making support system for each vineyard according to their production strategy. This system can contribute to improving the management of diseases and pests, reducing the costs of vineyard treatments derived from the use of phytosanitary products by applying the dose strictly necessary at the right time, with the consequent economic and environmental benefit and increased safety of the final product. For this, and based on technologies already existing, the development and validation of a compatible universal system for the variable application of phytosanitary products in vineyards is intended, based on maps of different vegetation vigor, through:

  • The application of variable doses adjusted to said maps (Zone dose).
  • The use of high-efficiency equipment adapted to the architecture of the crop.
  • This objective finally seeks to improve the effectiveness of phytosanitary control actions in grapevines, reducing the costs associated with said chemical interventions and the mitigation of both personal and environmental risks.
