The motion, approved without a single vote against it, marks an important step towards strengthening Catalonia's industrial policy and bringing support for clusters closer to the levels seen in leading regions such as the Basque Country and Flanders.

The 28 clusters accredited by ACCIÓ highlight their strategic role in improving business competitiveness, driving reindustrialisation and contributing to the creation of quality jobs.

Mas Doix winery hosted yesterday’s technical conference, “Protecting the Vine, Promoting Wine: An Assessment of the Plant Health Campaign and the Challenges of Marketing”. It was organised by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, with the collaboration of INNOVI, DOQ Priorat, DO Montsant, VITEC and Mas Doix. Part of the PATT 2026 programme, the event included the presentation of the mildew awards and a visit to the host winery’s vineyards.

The REVICAT project analyses where wines from each designation of origin are produced and consumed to determine the optimal locations and capacity of washing facilities.

The project has studied different adhesives and has already applied them to more than 20,000 bottles. It will now begin large-scale validation of the washing process.

The project is entering the data collection phase at its two experimental sites in Catalonia and Castilla-La Mancha, where agronomic, climate and energy parameters are monitored in real time for subsequent analysis.

The project will validate treatments using UV-C radiation and ozone, electric tractors and an autonomous system to help move towards more sustainable and efficient wine production.

The project will combine regenerative practices, artificial intelligence, sensors and drones to improve vineyard management on steep slopes.

The new space will strengthen the cluster’s presence in southern Catalonia and help promote new innovation and knowledge-transfer projects in Priorat, Montsant and Terra Alta

The project has developed and tested a tool in a real-world setting to consult regulations and winery data, and detect inconsistencies in records before preparing declarations.
